About halfway through the interview process for a job at an e-commerce platform, in the course of researching the company I realized they were hosting an online store for a website I consider reprehensible. Here’s the letter I wrote to them.
Hello [recruiter/employees of platform currently hosting a thing I consider evil],
Please accept my sincere apologies for the late notice, but I need to cancel the interview we have scheduled for today.
When searching through our site repo, I find myself frequently excluding the same directories, due to my search results being flooded by maddeningly long ugly lines of CSS, javascript and other pointless crap:
I love i3, and often have multiple split panes open when working on a project. I got tired of opening a new pane and having to cd to the directory I was in.
I came across a lot of proposed solutions, but they were all too complicated or didn’t work. Here’s my hack.
